You can finally live out your Jurassic Park fantasy.

The Banyan Tree resort in Krabi, Thailand, has just launched a new package in honour of the latest film in the beloved franchise.

After considering the Dominican Republic, Mauritius, Panama, and Costa Rica, Hollywood producers decided on Krabi as the primary location of Jurassic World Rebirth. The coastal enclave created the perfect prehistoric backdrop for the fourth movie, with a gorgeous green landscape and spectacular limestone cliffs that formed approximately 90 million years ago.

Banyan Tree Krabi, which opened on tranquil Tubkaek Beach in 2020, immerses guests in that natural beauty. The five-star resort backs onto a lush national park, with all 72 pool suites and villas positioned westward for incredible views of the Andaman Sea. (We recommend the seven-bedroom Presidential Beachfront Pool Villa, obviously.) “It didn’t surprise us at all that the film’s producers would call on Krabi as the setting for a dinosaur habitat,” Banyan Tree Krabi general manager Haruethai Maneerat said in a statement. “I can’t count the number of times I’ve had guests remark that the landscape is so abundantly natural.”

Guests will spend three hours on the Klong Root canal.

Named the Jurassic Explorer, the new package includes a half-day boat tour of Hong Island and a three-hour excursion to the famous Klong Root canal. The rivers and waterways of Klong Root are seen in the penultimate scenes of Jurassic World Rebirth, as protagonists Dr Henry Loomis (Jonathan Bailey) and Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) attempt to evade dinosaurs by paddling downriver.

Guests can also check out other picturesque sites featured in the film, such as Phra Nang Cave Beach and Huay To Waterfall. You’ll get to see some dinosaurs, too. The package includes two tickets to the Jurassic World Experience at Asiatique The Riverfront, Bangkok. The exhibition in central Bangkok features life-size dinosaurs and other interactive elements.

Guests can check out Phra Nang Cave Beach.

After all that exploring, you can relax at the hotel and enjoy the vistas. “We are blessed with a beachfront view directly facing the spectacular uninhabited islands of a marine national park,” adds Maneerat. “This is one of the most iconic views a visitor to Thailand can witness, and it always amazes guests to know that this untouched paradise is millions of years old.”

The package includes a 60-minute massage treatment at the spa and themed refreshments. The kitchen has created a special laab gai in honour of Johansson, who recently named it as her favourite Thai dish. The Jurassic Laab–A Star’s Wild Bite combines either minced chicken or ground beef with salad, toasted rice powder, and tons of spice. You could also enjoy a Fossil Egg, a hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausage meat, coated in breadcrumbs, then deep-fried.

The Jurassic Laab was inspired by Johansson’s favorite Thai dish.

To top it off, the mixologists at the hotel’s beachfront Kredkaew Bar have shaken up some new cocktails. The Raptor Forest is a tangy blend of Midori, Chalong Bay rum, pineapple juice, lemongrass syrup, ginger ale, and lime juice, while the T-Rex Rampage is a punchy Campari-based tipple.

The Jurassic Explorer package is available until 21 December, with a minimum three-night stay at Banyan Tree Krabi. To book, visit the Banyan Tree Krabi website.
