It’s been all eyes on Aman since the initial announcement of its first “hotel on water” a little more than four years ago—then labelled Project Sama—but now, Amangati is inching ever closer to its maiden voyage with the unveiling of its inaugural Mediterranean itineraries.

Aman at Sea is now accepting reservations for the debut season of Amangati, taking ocean exploration to the next level with curated yachting journeys ranging from five to eight nights. Amangati will traverse the Mediterranean, sailing along the French Riviera, the Balearic, the Adriatic, the Ionian, and the Aegean to reach such destinations as Portofino, Livorno, Naples, Genoa, La Spezia, Salerno, Capri, Valletta, Dubrovnik, Šibenik, Corfu, Kalamata, Piraeus, Mykonos, Santorini, Crete, Rhodes, Bodrum, and Istanbul, and even lesser-accessed ports like Beaulieu-sur-Mer. Ashore, guests will be whisked off on bespoke, concierge-led itineraries designed around cultural, artistic, and historical attractions.

Certain expeditions will also be tied to major entertainment and sporting events in the global calendar, like the Cannes Film Festival in May and the Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix in June—just imagine pulling up to these happenings in an Aman yacht. Remarkably, Amangati has also been granted rare access to cross Venice’s famous canals on its way to open water, allowing for an exclusive experience within the historic Italian lagoons.
7 May 2027 is the big day: Amangati will depart on its first voyage, sailing for six nights from Palma de Mallorca to Nice, with stops in Mahón, Barcelona, Palamós, Marseille, and Saint-Tropez along the way, revealing the wonders of Moorish and Catalonian cultures.

Aboard Amangati, it’s not just about where you’ll go, but how you’ll get there. Aman’s ultra-luxurious guest experience extends to the seas with this 180-metre, nine-deck, 47-suite yacht—and it’s sure to be a stunner when it hits the water next year. Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design skilfully translates Aman’s distinctive brand principles of exclusivity, tranquillity, authenticity, and privacy to achieve a timeless, maritime expression of the signature Aman lifestyle. More superyacht than cruise ship, Amangati is rooted in minimalism and takes its architectural cues from traditional ryokan inns, linking its aesthetics to Aman’s three properties in Japan to channel a similar zen atmosphere.

You will be one among just 94 guests, in accommodations that range from an intimate 68 square metres to a palatial 354 square metres, all with individual terraces for those slow moments of appreciating the views on the horizon. In terms of the crème de la crème, the Aman Suite is second to none. A private lift will transport you to this floating residence on the stern of the vessel, complete with floor-to-ceiling windows, generous living and dining spaces, an expansive bedroom, a bathroom dressed in marble, a personal bar, a spawling outdoor deck with sun loungers and a whirlpool, a treatment room, and a sauna. Dedicated suite hosts support guests throughout the trip, delivering seamless, intuitive service.

With all of this within reach, one could happily pass the hours without ever leaving the Aman Suite, but there are numerous good reasons to. As anticipated, the experience aboard Amangati is designed to feel like that of an Aman hotel or resort. Naturally, wellness is an integral component, even at sea. At the 1,190-square-metre Aman Spa, expert practitioners and therapists will do their best work across eight ocean-facing treatment rooms with private terraces, showers, and open-air whirlpool baths. On top of that, the Aman Spa also includes a Medi Spa, a Beauty Lounge, a banya, a hammam, a fitness studio, and a yoga and meditation deck with two shallow pools.

Dining aboard Amangati reflects the season and destination. Alira evokes sun-drenched flavours from coastal cuisines all around the Mediterranean; Aman Grill celebrates the art of open-flame cooking through an alluring white-tablecloth experience. Honouring the design theme, teppanyaki and washoku dishes are served at Hiori and Akari. Postprandial unwinding takes place at The Jazz Club, The Bar at Aman Grill, the Sake Bar, or the Pool Bar. In-suite dining is available around the clock as well, if that floats your boat.
