If you’re looking for a Hamptons home that offers a little more than the conventional white clapboard, nautical stripes, and wicker, a newly listed minimalist mansion in Sag Harbor showcasing swathes of raw concrete and striking glass walls will make you feel like you’ve just stepped into a high-end art museum.
Located in the tiny town of North Haven, the elegant estate was designed in close collaboration with architect William J. Reese and draws heavy inspiration from the work of Japanese master Tadao Ando, whose signature style favours elemental materials, clean geometry, and a kind of meditative calm. A clear departure from the traditional Hamptons aesthetic, the abode is undeniably modern, but it’s not overly flashy. It would make a fantastic addition to any portfolio and is on the market for US$19 million (approximately HK$149.25 million), with Susan Breitenbach of Corcoran and Laura White of Saunders.

The house sits on nearly two secluded acres overlooking Noyac Bay, with panoramic views stretching all the way to Shelter Island. Inside, the design stays true to its minimalist roots. Concrete, steel, glass, and mahogany are the only materials used, and they’re deployed with precision. Five massive concrete walls extend beyond the main residence, creating a sense of structure and permanence while anchoring the home into the surrounding landscape.

With five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and two half baths, the open-plan layout has been cleverly designed to balance flow and privacy. The primary suite has a dedicated stairway, a quiet second living room, and a private deck facing the water. Four additional guest suites are just as thoughtfully done.
And because no Hamptons home is complete without a few luxe extras, the digs are outfitted with a heated pool, sauna, tennis court, gym, and a boat mooring. The grounds also offer private beach access via a stairway. The main home is about 6,000 square feet as is, but can be expanded to over 8,000 square feet if needed.

Sag Harbor real estate remains in high demand, especially among buyers who value privacy, exclusivity, and a year-round outdoor lifestyle. In June 2025, the median price for a home sold in Sag Harbor hovered around US$2.725 million (approximately HK$21.43 million), while five‑bedroom homes doubled from the previous month to fetch US$11.5 million (approximately HK$90.27 million), according to Rocket.com. High-end listings don’t sit for long, either, particularly those with an enviable location, architectural pedigree, and sweeping views.
